We build steadier television for Canada

Channelux is one of the faster-growing IPTV providers serving Canadian households. We started in Ottawa in 2023 with three commitments that have not moved since: technical stability, honest pricing, and a support desk answered by people.

Our story

Channelux launched in 2023 out of Ottawa with a straightforward goal: make television over the internet accessible, stable and affordable for every household in Canada. Traditional providers here lock customers into expensive contracts with a narrow channel selection and a set-top box you rent forever. We wanted the opposite — a flexible alternative with no obligation attached to it.

What began as a small service grew quickly into a platform serving thousands of subscribers daily, from Victoria to St. John's. The growth came almost entirely from referrals, which is the only marketing metric we genuinely trust.

No inflated promises. No hidden fees. No multi-year terms. Pay once, receive your credentials, start watching. If you want to see exactly what that costs, the pricing page lists all five terms with no asterisks attached.

Our technical edge

We reinvest continuously in infrastructure, and three pieces of it do most of the work.

Decentralised edge servers. Nodes in Toronto, Montréal and Vancouver mean the first hop of your stream stays inside Canada. Traffic never makes a pointless trip to a European data centre and back, which is the single biggest cause of latency in cheaper services.

CDN routes tuned to Canadian carriers. Our routing tables are optimised for the IP ranges used by the major Canadian internet providers rather than treating the whole continent as one blob. The difference shows up most clearly on rural fibre and fixed-wireless connections.

Anti-freeze technology, version 12. A buffering layer that absorbs short packet losses before the decoder sees them, plus automatic re-routing when an edge node starts to degrade. It is why our subscribers do not lose the picture during peak hours or a live sporting event, which is precisely when weaker services fall over.

How we work

Lines are provisioned by hand. That is slower than an automated panel and we know it — but it means a technician checks the bouquets are attached correctly before the credentials leave the building, and it means the person who built your line is the person who can fix it. Median activation time is still under fifteen minutes.

Support runs on WhatsApp because that is where Canadians actually answer messages. Email exists for anything that needs a record. Both operate in English and French, both are staffed around the clock, and neither routes you through a chatbot first.

What we will not do

We will not sell you a second "premium" tier that unlocks channels you already paid for — every plan carries the full catalogue. We will not claim a feed is 4K when the broadcaster originates it in HD. We will not support four different applications badly instead of one well, which is why IBO Player is the only app we provision for. And we will not pretend one subscription streams to five televisions at once; it authorises one device, and we say so before you buy rather than after.
