DMCA & Copyright Policy
Last updated: January 1, 2026. Channelux respects the intellectual property rights of creators and rights holders, and complies with the DMCA and the equivalent copyright legislation applicable in Canada.
1. Our content-licensing position
Channelux operates as a reseller of IPTV subscription plans. We do not host, store or originate the content delivered through the service. All channels and on-demand titles are sourced from content providers and distributors, and we are committed to operating in a way that respects applicable copyright law.
2. Reporting copyright infringement
If you are a copyright owner or an authorised agent and believe content accessible through https://channelux.ca infringes your copyright, submit a written takedown notice to our designated agent.
Your notice must include all of the following
- Identification of the copyrighted work — a description of the work you claim has been infringed. A representative list is acceptable where multiple works are covered.
- Identification of the infringing material — the specific URLs or enough information to locate the material on https://channelux.ca.
- Your contact information — full name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- Good faith statement — a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement — a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the copyright owner.
- Signature — physical or electronic.
Send to: [email protected] with the subject line DMCA Takedown Notice — https://channelux.ca. We acknowledge valid notices within 5 business days and take appropriate action, which may include disabling access to the material and notifying the relevant content provider.
3. Counter-notification
If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, send a written counter-notification to [email protected] containing:
- Identification of the removed content — description, URLs, and its location before removal.
- Statement under penalty of perjury — that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your contact information — full name, address, telephone number and email address.
- Consent to jurisdiction — that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in Canada and will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
- Signature — physical or electronic.
We forward valid counter-notifications to the original complainant. If they do not file a court action within 10 to 14 business days, we may restore the content at our discretion.
4. Repeat infringers
Channelux maintains a strict repeat-infringer policy. Accounts subject to multiple valid infringement notices are reviewed, and we reserve the right to terminate subscriptions of users determined to be repeat infringers. Termination on those grounds does not entitle the user to a refund. See our terms of service for the full account-termination provisions.
5. Misuse of the process
Filing a false takedown notice is a serious matter. Under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)) and equivalent legislation, anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees.
