Frequently asked questions

Twenty-one answers covering ordering, devices, picture quality, content and policy — written by the same technicians who answer the WhatsApp desk. If your question is not here, message +15144477860 and someone will reply in minutes rather than days.

01

Ordering and payment

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Maestro, Diners Club and JCB, plus Interac e-Transfer for customers who would rather move money from a Canadian bank account. Card details are tokenised by the processor and never stored on our infrastructure. If you want to use a method not listed, message the desk on WhatsApp before ordering and we will tell you straight away whether it works.

Usually under fifteen minutes, and almost always inside the hour. Lines are built by hand rather than issued by a script, which is slower but catches mistakes before they reach you. During a rush — the evening before a major sporting event, typically — it can stretch, and a WhatsApp message will move you up the queue.

Yes. Every figure on this site is CAD: CA$10.99 for the intro month, then CA$15.99, CA$24.99, CA$39.99 and CA$69.99. No currency conversion appears on your statement and no foreign-transaction fee is triggered.

No. Nothing is stored for recurring billing. When a term ends the line stops, and it resumes only when you order again. There is no cancellation form because there is nothing to cancel.

Yes. Message support before the current line expires and we credit the unused days against the longer plan. The arithmetic is done manually and always in your favour on the rounding.

02

Devices and apps

IBO Player, and nothing else. It is the only application we provision for and the only one our support desk can troubleshoot. It runs on Android TV, Fire TV Stick, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, MAG and Formuler boxes, iPhone, iPad, Windows and macOS. The setup guide covers each platform in order.

One at a time. You can move the line between a TV box and a phone — the credentials do not lock to hardware — but two simultaneous streams will fail. This is deliberate: it is how the CDN stays uncontended when the whole country tunes into the same game.

Only if you do not already own something IBO Player runs on. A recent smart TV, an Android box, a Fire TV Stick or even a laptop will do. If you are shopping, our IPTV box guide compares Android, Linux and hybrid boxes on zapping speed, guide quality and real-world price.

No, and we say so plainly. IBO Player includes a short evaluation period and then charges a small one-time licence fee, paid to its developer. That is separate from what you pay us. Support will walk you through the purchase screen if you want company while you do it.

03

Streaming quality

Test on the device you watch on, not on a phone in another room. Roughly 6 Mbps holds SD, 12 Mbps holds 1080p, and 28 Mbps holds a 4K feed with headroom. Nearly every Canadian fibre and cable plan clears that — the usual bottleneck is a crowded 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band, not the plan.

Four causes account for almost everything: a slow or shared connection, Wi-Fi interference, a server under load at peak hour, or an underpowered device. Our buffering guide walks through all seven causes we see, in diagnostic order, with the fix for each.

Genuine where the source provides it. We carry 8K, 4K, UHD, Full HD, HD and SD variants of the same feed and hand your player the highest one your connection will sustain. Where a broadcaster only originates in HD, we do not relabel it as 4K — a habit that is unfortunately common in this market.

A buffering layer that absorbs short packet losses before they reach the decoder, combined with automatic re-routing when an edge node degrades. It is the difference between a half-second hiccup you never notice and a ten-second freeze in the middle of a penalty shot.

04

Content and coverage

Yes, on every plan. The Canadian bouquet carries national networks and regional affiliates, and the Québec bouquet carries the full French-language lineup — general channels, news, drama, variety and French sports commentary. Franco-Ontarian and Acadian feeds are in there too.

Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Ireland, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland, the Nordics, Greece, Turkey, the Arab world, Iran, India, Pakistan, Brazil, Latin America, the Balkans, the Baltics, China, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and more — around 9,600 international channels in total.

Fourteen days on the bouquets whose source permits it, which covers most Canadian, British, French and sports feeds. Scroll backwards in the guide and select a programme that already aired.

Yes, and roughly seven in ten requests get added. Send the channel name and country to [email protected] or message WhatsApp. The channel team reviews the list weekly.

05

Support and policy

WhatsApp at +15144477860 is the fast lane and is staffed every hour of every day. Email at [email protected] is the paper trail and is answered the same day. Median first reply last quarter was six minutes. Both channels operate in English and French.

In two situations: a verified outage of more than 72 consecutive hours on our infrastructure, which earns a pro-rata credit; and a duplicate charge, which is refunded in full. Otherwise sales are final once a line is activated, which is why we keep the intro month at CA$10.99 — it exists so you can evaluate the service cheaply.

We collect your name, email and phone number to provision and support the line, and nothing else. We do not sell data, we do not run advertising trackers, and account records are deleted ninety days after a subscription lapses. The privacy policy sets out the full detail.

Yes. Credit-based panel access with tiered margins for shops, technicians and community resellers across Canada. The reseller page explains the tiers and the onboarding process.

The setup guide covers installation end to end, the buffering guide covers playback problems, and the channel catalogue lists every bouquet. Anything else, ask a human.
